Retrospective Due Diligence (RDD) Project Lead

ICBL is seeking to recruit a Project Lead (Consultant) for our Retrospective Due Diligence (RDD) Project. The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Vice President – Compliance.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

The Project Lead - RDD Project is expected to:

Assist in leading, reviewing and analyzing documentation provided by customers, to ensure they meet specific customer due diligence requirements for anti-money laundering (AML) purposes. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating efforts to review existing files within the scope of the Due Diligence project;
  • Supervising the team of analysts, identifying any performance issues as well as strengths;
  • Reporting on progress of review along with any issues or roadblocks identified;
  • Coordinating with relevant stakeholders to request and receive customer due diligence;
  • Reviewing existing files to ensure that they meet customer due diligence requirements and identifying gaps where applicable;
  • Obtaining documentation to close any identified gaps;
  • Updating systems with relevant data;
  • Assisting with client-related administrative functions;
  • Liaising with other members of the team;
  • Reporting on progress daily and ensuring that set targets are met;
  • Any other duties identified and required for the project.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in any applicable field.
  • Project Management certification would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Barbados’ AML Laws and regulations would be an asset.
  • Must have sound organizing and planning skills and ability to deal with internal and external customers in a professional yet pleasant manner.
  • Superior rapport-building, customer service and communication skills that demonstrate professionalism.
  • Ability to multitask and work autonomously.
  • Strong interpersonal, information-gathering, collaborative and prospecting skills.
  • Strong presentation skills enhanced by excellent professional appearance.
  • Proficient computer skills – MS Office etc.
