Against the backdrop of the setting sun, ICBL hosted a group of young, influential professionals at a networking mixer on the roof deck restaurant, NOIR, by Jason Howard at The Sands Barbados.
In welcoming the guests, CEO Geoff Scott noted that the company had been a staple in the industry for a more mature clientele for several years. He further stated that they were keen to target this younger demographic, as there was significant change happening at ICBL which this group would find favourable.
Senior Manager of Sales and Business Development Christian Paul, said in his remarks: “We are proud that your parents and grandparents trust us for their insurance needs. However, we are also dramatically changing in ways that we know you would want to be a part of. When we talk to you about your needs, we keep the differences between generations in mind. For example, we are aware that a significant portion of you are living in rental accommodation, and ICBL is here for you, offering affordable insurance coverage specific to renters.”
Sharron Alleyne – Elcock, Head of Sales and Business Development, added that ICBL was also mindful that there had been an increase in entrepreneurship in recent times, and many young business owners were in need of comprehensive insurance solutions. She highlighted that the company offered security for these business owners with their Commercial Package policy.
Additionally, Alleyne-Elcock acknowledged the passion many young professionals have for the environment and shared ICBL’s Corporate "Green" programme as a Certified Green Company, which paid particular attention to using environmentally safe cleaning products, energy-saving facilities, and recycling.
Guests of the ICBL Young Professionals Mixer were entered in a competition to win a three night staycation at The Sands Barbados. Winner, Attorney – At – Law Romain Marshall, was drawn by Chief Operating Officer, Oliver Jordan.
